Messy Art Workshop: Tuesdays or Wednesdays (Maddie/Katie)
Grab your smocks and paintbrushes as we get down and dirty with this fun and exciting art class. We will be making art projects with our hands, feet, toys, recyclables and more! Make sure you don’t send us to school in nice clothes on Messy art days because we will be getting…MESSY!
Around the World (Pre-K ONLY): Wednesdays (Allison)
Hop aboard as we take a trip around the world. We will explore several countries learning about their unique cultures, traditions, food, art, and dance. We will visit a new country each week while earning a stamp in our very own passports. ***Please list any food allergies in comments section.
Yoga for Kids: Thursdays or Fridays (Maddie)
Yoga helps strengthen children's growing bodies and helps them improve their focus and flexibility This class will work towards improving body awareness while strengthening gross and fine motor coordination using yoga poses. Children will also learn multiple techniques to help with concentration and relaxation that can be applied in their everyday lives.
*Please Note: There is NO CLASS on Friday, February 28
Animal Exploration: Monday or Tuesdays (Katie/Maddie)
We'll become animal experts as we explore each of the animal classifications! In this fun factual class, we'll study mammals, reptiles, birds, amphibians, and fish. Each class will begin with an introduction to the animal class, followed by an activity or game that will help us dive deeper into a specific animal, trait, or characteristic. We will follow up with a fun craft and a related story.
Sound it Out with Dr. Seuss: Wednesdays (Lindsey)
Reading and rhyming are so much fun! This emerging reader's class teaches concepts that help children understand some of the basics of phonics. Dr. Seuss will take us on a reading adventure where we will discover rhyming word fun. We'll develop our reading and writing skills, as we unscramble letters to see what words we can create!
Stem 101: Thursdays or Fridays (Maddie/Amelia)
STEM education includes the subjects of science, technology, engineering, and math. This class will provide a fun and engaging opportunity for students to explore and experience STEM. Our focus is developing student's problem solving, critical thinking, and teamwork skills through hands-on, project-based learning. Whether you've got a future engineer, architect, technology whiz or mechanic in your mist, this class will get their minds racing!
